Amset
Títle Amset (2003)
Label Rimmer Rock

Record companies don't usually bet on metal bands, and as far as I can remember, whenever this has happened, the band has been, at least (and being generous), crappy. After having learned my lesson from so many scams, I decided to ignore any hypersupermegapromoted band, and to date, I have been able to live a quieter life, far from worries and headaches caused by the forced listening to new releases that are supposed to cope the market.

I've seen adds in Metal magazines, on TV, heard them on the radio, seen their promotion on the Internet, on chat channels and metallic forums, etc. What I won't stand is being with a nice lady and seeing the name Amset on the wrappers inside the package of protective elements. That was the last straw, so I made up my mind and decided to listen to them, although not concentrating too much. I got myself a six half litre beer pack and drank the three litres in one gulp to get the desired anaesthetic effect, played the cd, and as I expected...

I would like someone to explain to me in detail what this band or record has to deserve, if not anything else, for me to waste my precious time with this review instead of spending it at a Coyote-type bar exchanging opinions with the nice waitresses.

Record company managers: there are loads of bands that would do wonders if anyone invested at least half of what you've spent on this band. However, while they pick their balls off the floor, they have to see how others get everything for nothing. Sad but true...
