I like it when
the history is written by someone different. All That Remains
follow the steps of Scar Symmetry. Just after the Swedes came
out, I thought there was a missing blank. That is because the
groundbreaking bands in every genre have come in couples lately.
Thus, we have Maiden-Judas, Metallica-Guns, Gamma Ray-Blind
Guardian, In Flames-Soilwork, and so on. This collection of
couples have always been good for the bands involved (they've
been the reason of multiple ripp-offs too though).
I would really like this to happen to All That Remains, as this
would be a good thing in their historical book.
Unlike Scar Symmetry, the band plays (high quality) US-Death
Metal. Needless to say, with enough class and style to hook
the listener.
Difficult? Who knows, but albums like this only come out from
time to time.
